Corso di Elaborazione Numerica dei Segnali (6 CFU) per l’AA 2016-2017
Obiettivi
Il corso ha l’obiettivo di fornire fondamenti e strumenti metodologici per analizzare con tecniche numeriche Segnali e Sistemi utilizzati nei modelli e nei casi d’uso presenti nelle discipline afferenti a Scienze e Ingegneria dell’Informazione, Elettronica, Telecomunicazioni, Automazione, Biomedicina, Meccanica dei Sistemi Vibranti, Ambiente e Territorio, Fenomeni Sismici.
Nel percorso di "Telecomunicazioni" l'esame di "Teoria dei Segnali" è propedeutico a quello di "Elaborazione Numerica dei Segnali".
Ai fini di una agevole comprensione degli argomenti trattati e di un buon utilizzo degli strumenti richiesti si ritengono acquisite le conoscenze relative a:
- Fondamenti di probabilità
- Analisi di segnali e sistemi nel dominio del tempo e della frequenza
- Fondamenti di programmazione
Contenuti
Richiami su segnali e sistemi a tempo discreto.
Sequenze e segnali numerici.
Conversione analogico/numerica: campionamento e quantizzazione, ricostruzione del segnale analogico a partire dai suoi campioni, sottocampionamento e sovracampionamento.
Trasformata a tempo discreto di Fourier (DTFT) e relativa antitrasformata (IDTFT).
Trasformata discreta di Fourier (DFT) e sue proprietà. Algoritmo per il calcolo veloce (FFT).
Sistemi LTI e loro rappresentazione mediante Relazione Ingresso/Uscita, Risposta all'impulso, Risposta in Frequenza, Trasformata Zeta, Equazioni alle differenze.
Proprietà dei sistemi LTI.
Sistemi IIR e Sistemi FIR.
Trasformata Zeta (ZT) e relativa Antitrasformata. Analisi di sistemi LTI a tempo discreto tramite la Zeta trasformata.
Tecniche di progetto di filtri numerici IIR e FIR .
Metodo Didattico

Gennaro REPPUCCI curriculum vitae
Born in Naples, on the 25th May 1949, he achieved the Maturità Classica degree (4th Level of EQF) in 1967. He graduated with honours in Electronics at Federico II University in Naples in 1974, winning Telespazio "P. FANTI" 1974 award. In the same year he attained his Professional Government License with the highest rank.
In the year 1975 he served as lieutenant c/o Italian Anti Aircraft Artillery School in Sabaudia (LT, Italy), being in charge as 40/70 Fire Unit Commander.
In 1975 he was appointed by the Italian Public Education Ministry as Research Worker with the “Federico II” Naples University, where from 1975 to 1977 he worked with the Italian Research Council (CNR) Telecommunication and Information Theory Group and supported Electrical Communications and Radio Communications courses.
From 1977 to 1978 he worked with the R&D department of a shipyard company and was in charge for Electrical & Electronic Equipments for Fast Fibreglass Planning Boats, including On Board Energy Management as well as Navigation Aids, VOR/DME, DECCA, LORAN and Collision Avoidance Radar Systems. In that framework he developed a microprocessor based Command & Control System for a 65 feet fast boat.
In the year 1978 he joined Radar System Division of Selenia SpA working for the Product Engineering Dept. . From 1983 until early 1985 he attended the "Engineering Management" courses held by ISSEL in Rome.
From 1985 he was in charge for Signal & Data Processing Dept of Alenia Marconi Systems (AMS, formerly Selenia) Engineering and Technology Division.
He was involved 15 years long in Equipment/Instrumentation/IPR, Algorithms, Architectures and Systems for Signal/Data processing as well as in the development of HW, FW and SW solutions, requiring special tools for Software development as well as for Logical & Physical design of ASIC devices.
He was involved in the development of Radar Systems for the Italian Air Force (AMI), for the Italian Navy (MMI), for the Italian Flight Aid Organization (ENAV), for the US NAVY, for the German Flight Organization, for the Pakistan Navy, for the Brazilian Navy.
On May of 1999 he attended the course on Business Excellence Model (BEM) held by professor TRONCI from “La Sapienza” Rome University, and was appointed BEM Assessor of AMS Radar System Division.
From 1994 to 1997 he was appointed as Lecturer in “Electrical Communications” by “Federico II” Naples University, and the same he was for the academic year 1994/1995 by Fisciano/Salerno University.
In the year 2000 he joined the R&D Group of Uni.Com SpA, where he was in charge as Technical Director for the design and development of
o Fixed Cellular Telephony devices and GSM based Telemetry Systems (M2M segment)
o Digital Video Broadcasting (DVB) Receivers Decoders, for DVB-x (C-S-T) networks
o Home Networking Devices and Systems, both Power Line and WiFi (802.11x)
o Remote Video Surveillance and Control Systems
o Custom Embedded Systems/Controllers for Home Appliances
o Wireless Broadband Access solutions using third Parties 5 GHz PtMP
He was involved in the Company partnership in Industrial Research Projects funded by Italian Government and European Community:
o CIPE Program Contract,
o MIUR488 “Building and Home Networking”,
o IST/EU “Building TV signal distribution”, named FlexiMATV,
o MEDEA+ IM4DTTV for the digital television integrating an RF return channel,
o Continuing Education Projects for Company HRs
From 2002 to 2004 he was appointed Member of the Board of Uni.Com S.p.A..
From 2006 he worked in Rome being in charge for R&D and Business Improvement of GMA, a company involved in Industrial and Military applications for Defence Systems.
From March 2008 he worked in Rome as Senior Advisor to the Chief Operating Officer c/o SELEX Sistemi Integrati S.p.A., supporting Company Governance activities. In 2013 he retired from industrial activities.
Since 2004-2005 academic year he was appointed as Lecturer for “Signal Theory” course and since 2013-2014 academic year he was appointed as Lecturer for “Digital Signal Processing” course c/o Benevento University.
Since 1992 with n° 11218 he is fellow of the “Ordine degli Ingegneri della Provincia di Napoli”, the Government Professional Body.
