Dr. Andrea Di Sorbo received (cum laude) Master’s Degree in Computer Engineering at University of Sannio, with a thesis entitled “Design and Implementation of a Sentiment Mining Analyzer for micro-comments in Italian Language” advised by Prof. Corrado Aaron Visaggio. In July 2013 he obtained the best graduate award in Computer Engineering at University of Sannio for the Academic Year 2011/2012.
In January 2018 he received the PhD in Information Technology for Engineering at University of Sannio, defending a thesis entitled "Exploiting NLP Techniques to Support Developers during Software Maintenance and Evolution Tasks", supervised by Prof. Corrado Aaron Visaggio and Prof. Gerardo Canfora.
Currently he is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Sannio. His research interests include: Mining Software Repositories, Empirical Software Engineering, Text Analysis, Text Summarization, Natural Language Processing and Software Security. His work is supervised by Prof. Gerardo Canfora and Prof. Corrado Aaron Visaggio. During his research he examined several themes, including Mobile Computing, Machine Learning and Textual Analysis and Summarization, with the main purpose of designing and implementing approaches and models aimed at facilitating developers’ working activities. In summary he published several works in high-ranked, peer reviewed, international venues. For instance he published 2 papers at ICSE (RANK: A*), 2 papers at FSE (RANK:A*), 1 paper at ICSME (RANK: A), 1 paper at ASE (RANK: A).
He is one of the editors of the Information and Software Technology special Issue entitled ’User Feedback and Software Quality in the Mobile Domain’. Moreover, he serves and has served as reviewer for various international journals (JSEP and EMSE).
